Volkswagen T5 tuned by ABT

ABT unveiled today a new tuning kit for the Volkswagen T5 passenger van, a package which improves the exterior and interior appearance but also provides additional power.

To begin with, there is a performance package for the 2.0-liter TDI engine which is offered in three different variants.

The entry-level TDI unit with 83hp produces now 108hp, the more powerful 101hp variant receives a power boost to 128hp while the most powerful 2.0-liter TDI with 138 horses is now able to deliver 168 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the 2.0-liter TSI engine is now able to produce 237 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 9,4 seconds.

In terms of styling, the German tuners from ABT fitted the Volkswagen T5 van with a new set of 19-inch alloy wheels, new front grille, front spoiler, side skirts, roof spoiler and rear apron.

“The extra power is intended to be perfectly tailor-made for the unending possibilities the large-capacity vehicle offers and meet the diverse demands of the ABT Multivan,” says the company.
