Toyota Alphard tuned the wrong way

The Toyota Alphard minivan is really not a good looking vehicle, but for its class, it does a pretty good job and sells rather well.

So then, why would someone go through such lengths to ruin a perfectly good car with a very hideous and failed conversion attempt?

While it is quite painfully obvious from the get go, I am going to go ahead and say this nonetheless: no matter how hard you try, you will never get a people carrier to look like a Rolls-Royce. And if you go ahead and try, the result will most likely be something akin to this particular Toyota Alphard.

The extensive work on appearance is all around, from the front, which presents itself with a Rolls-Royce-ish grille and rectangular headlights, to the side skirts and rear side. Even new wheels found their way on this project, just in case it wasn’t bad enough. The end result, a blingy minivan with reduced utility is a far cry from the class a Rolls-Royce exudes, and in my opinion, the Japanese tuner should have just settled with the Toyota Alphard.
