Puegeot 2008 DKR now sporting rally colors

After the French car maker Peugeot presented their amazing 208 T16 Pikes Peak car, a lot of people simply wanted more of it.

The second helping came on the form of the 2008 DKR, which sported the same angry all-carbon fiber look, and was just as potent as the 208.

In a similar way to the 208 T16 Pikes Peak being built especially for the Pikes Peak hillclimb challenge (go figure), so was the Peugeot 2008 DKR built with only one thing in mind: to compete in the Dakar rally. While the 2008 DKR looks amazing in all black, it is now presented with a new livery, one that will also sport during the 2015 Dakar rally.

We have to remember that this car is not just for show. Like the smaller 208, the 2008 DKR is ready for the most grueling of rallies, and considering that it is Peugeot’s comeback after quite a while of absence, they will want to make an impression. To this end, the 2008 DKR sports a potent twin turbo V6 running diesel and producing some 340 Hp. Coupel that with low weight due to extensive use of carbon fiber and you get excellent performance.
